Diane Powers’ Casa de Bandini will host a multi-course tequila tasting dinner featuring Carlsbad premium tequila brand, CaliFino, on Thursday, October 10 at 6 p.m.

CaliFino “P.O.G.” cocktails (made with passion fruit, orange and guava) will be served upon arrival followed by a multi-course meal, with dishes paired with reposado, añejo or super añejo tequilas. The evening’s menu includes Camaroncito Quesdailla with mango salsa; Fiesta Ensalada with cilantro-lime dressing; Carne Asada with crab enchilada topped with jalapeño cheese sauce, arroz Amarillo and guacamole. CaliFino will then debut its “Tequila Gelato” for dessert.

Guests will also get to hear directly from owner Miguel Luna on the history of the company, and how CaliFino tequila is made.

The brand’s name CaliFino comes from its mission to introduce California to the world’s finest tequilas. Created by Miguel Luna and Phil Salvagio (best known as players for the San Diego Sockers), CaliFino launched in 2014 to share the tequila that the Luna family has been making since 1975. CaliFino tequila is made from the finest, hand-selected blue agave, grown in the historical Arandas Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.

Casa de Bandini is located at The Forum Carlsbad, 1901 Calle Barcelona. Tickets are $65 each. Reservations are required. To learn more or purchase tickets, visit www.bandini-califino.eventbrite.com.
